Accelerated Reader

AR is a computer program that helps teachers manage and monitor children’s independent reading practice. Your child picks a book at his/her own level and reads it at his own pace. When your child is finished reading the book, he/she can take a short quiz on the computer to check for understanding. When finished, your child takes a short quiz on the computer. Our version of AR is web-based which allows us to offer quizzes on more than 140,000 books.  To find book titles with quizzes, visit AR BookFind.
 
Parents will also be able to monitor their child's progress through AR Home Connect.  All you need is your child's username and password.  If your child doesn't know that information ask his/her teacher.
